Happy New Year!!!!
Guess what my new year resolution is? To ride more, hold
more charity events, grow the BCCClub and make new friends!!!
Thanks for an outstanding ’07 - Jim
(12/27 & 28) Congratulations to
Paul, Elli, Lesley, Craig, Nancy, Bob, Ed, Dirk, Larry, Jeff and me for
completing the third Annual
BCCClub Winter Ride, and Debbie and Dean the outstanding SAG support. Also,
congratulations to Dean for becoming the ’07 BCCClub Pool champion!
The ride started out to be a bit cold and windy (nice tail-wind), but
quickly warmed up and it was perfect by Friday. The best part of the ride was
the friendship, the wonderful coastal vistas and the very energetic and fun
group of cyclists….thanks for joining!!
(12/29 & 30) Very pleasant and moderate Palos
Verdes ride on Saturday and an un-typical Palos Verdes fun ride on Sunday!
Upcoming
W/E Ride Schedule:
(1/05) Saturday
Ride – New
start time is 8:00 (was 7:30)
from Joe's Crab Shack
for a 58 mile intermediate–advanced ride from Long Beach around Turtle Rock to the Newport Ferry and back
(1/06) Sunday Fun Ride – Sorry
no official BCCClub ride that day, but that should not stop you….keep those
wheels turning and I’ll see you next week!!
Sorry, no SAG support for the (above) ride.
Note: The BCCClub rides year-round
and seldom cancels due to bad weather. But, a good way to determine if the ride
is “on or off” is, if it’s raining or if the streets have puddles from the
night before, the ride is off. Also, check the weather forecast before the ride
and dress appropriately!!
