| Weekend Ride Recap – Congratulations to Louie Norton, Silver Medal winner in the World Seniors Hill Climb Event and four 4th places in other racing Events (the Clubs first Silver)…Good job Louie! Congratulations to Mindi Bowman & Brian Seymour for completing the Riverside Citrus Classic Century….Good job! Local rides: Very nice turnout, we had a least two ride levels/groups to choose from and incredible weather, just like riding with 40 of your best friends….thanks for being there! Saturday’s Ride: We start at 8:00 from the Catalina Coffee & Cafe for a 47 mile Sunday’s Fun Ride: We start at 9:00 am from Redondo High School and have several rides to choose from, ranging from 15, 20 or 28 miles. We suggest new riders show up 10 minutes early for a brief safety clinic, as our goal is to ensure your experience with the club is both safe and fun!
The club offers over 120 miles of fun rides each week and if that’s not enough for you, check out the club message board for additional rides, last minute updates, events and weather related info. Also, remember to bring a snack and plenty of water for these long rides, and its always a good idea to check the weather forecast and dress appropriately. Welcome Weili Chen & Andy McKay our newest members (#257 & #258) to join the BCC Club. 22 October, BCCClub & BCI joint PV Ride, the BCCClub will be hosting this ride and offering three different rides to choose from (all levels), and encourage all members to be there for group pictures, so wear your club jersey! 05 November, Solvang Prelude 35, 50 & 62 Miler (Ride Leader, Jim Hannon) 19 November, El Tour de Tucson – Join us for a great ride and to celebrate Debbie & Randy’s 10 year 1st Century (Ride Leader, Jim Hannon) 04 December, BCCClub Holiday Party – So hold that date, event details will be released next week. 28 & 29 December, Club Holiday Ride, 1st 40 people Max. (Ride Leader, Jim Hannon) 2012, 8 September, Best Buddies Challenge, Hearst Castle, we are forming the B-4 / BCCClub Team now (Ride Leader, Jim Hannon) We are forming a High Performance Cycling team to pilot our club training program…...more on this Oct/Nov timeframe.
